Additional information; The fishing on the Wye stretches from 1 mile south of Rhayader to approximately 4 miles north of the town. The A470 / A44 trunk road runs along the whole of the stretch of water, making it easily accessible. Excellent Brown Trout and Grayling fishing is available. Apart from the natural head of Brown Trout, the river is stocked every other year. The Wye is also renowned for its Salmon fishing, with the Salmon reaching the upper parts of the Wye towards the end of the Season.
