Additional information:

2/3 mile of left bank fishing, a few miles upstream of Ross on Wye. This is a particularly beautiful part of the Herefordshire Wye Valley and fishing here is highly recommended if visiting the area. This part of the river is also renowned as having some of the best coarse fishing available on the Wye.

Although shallow and weedy in places, there are deeper holes in between these sections that provide superb coarse fishing opportunities for chub, barbel, and dace. At the upper limit of the beat the river is shallow with gravel at the bank allowing easy wading. There is a near bank gully immediately downstream of this and another approximately halfway along the stretch, providing the perfect opportunity for trotting off the rod tip. Towards the lower limit of the beat the current slows to a near standstill into Rock Pool – here the target species will be pike, perch and chub in the winter months.

Parking is good and a short walk is required to get to the river bank.
The owner reserves the right to fish the beat at short notice, therefore exclusivity cannot be guaranteed.

Block booking is available on this section You can book all the tickets available (sometimes at a discounted price). You can only fish up to the maximum daily number of people allowed for that type of fishing.
